Tripping

A few days ago I was listening to a radio show set in St. Louis, MO and the topic was "What would make you cheat?"  Now I was very intrigued to hear the responses to this question because a lot of people have different definitions of cheating.  One person said they would cheat if their significant other wasn't paying them any attention and another person said that they would cheat if they weren't getting sex when they wanted it.  In my mind I was thinking that these people would never manage if they were married.  I was 23 years old when I got married and I'm 24 years old now so I have been married for a little over a year.  Between taking care of our son and our different schedules, finding time where my husband and I can just be by ourselves is extremely hard.  In any relationship there will come a time when you will see something that you truly do not like about your significant other.  You can either accept this "flaw" or you can move on.  However, if you move on this cycle will just continue.  By this I mean that there is always going to be something you won't like about a person, but its really up to you to judge if this flaw is a deal breaker or not.  Now this doesn't mean break up with someone because they may be a little inconsiderate, or they don't want to spend ALL of their time with you.  I feel a lot of people especially in my age group are just breaking off relationships for frivolous reasons.  It it to be expected that your relationship will not be the same as it was in the beginning 5 years later.  Being in a relationship is hard work and even though you may love a person, sometimes that may not be enough.  You have to want the relationship to work and give it all you've got.  Ultimately, I turned off the radio show because it was getting on my nerves a bit because I just got the feeling that people really didn't understand want it means to be in a relationship.

Now a little side note, I need to find ways to advertise my blog so I can get some readers!  Today maybe I will get back on social networking sites and post the link to my blog.  I want to hear from people and see what people would like for me to write about.

What do you consider cheating?

Reality is not shown on a reality show

Last night I was watching a video on Youtube where Tupac was basically saying how celebrities have all of this money and spend it on having 10 houses when they only need one or having 20 cars and really still only need one.  It doesn't only make me upset, but it pisses me off when I see these commercials with celebrities talking about donate to the hungry and the abused animals.  I give to the disadvantaged all of the time, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and in reality most of us are.  So why can't these people who are just wasting money on all these houses and cars, give that money to the poor and let us people who are really struggling to get through life, just be?  Okay now I just had to let that all out before I go into what today's post is about.

I use to enjoy watching reality shows until I realized the money these people are making by me just watching their shows.  The other day I was looking on the internet to see how much the cast of Jersey Shore makes.  Now I am guilty of watching Jersey Shore.  I did use to love this show, until I realized that it just made no sense.  Why am I watching people get paid to party and fight?  Anyway, I found out that Snooki from Jersey Shore makes about $1,950,000 a season.  This is ridiculous!  Now there are people out here like right now, down the street, and around the corner at a grocery market making between $7-$8/hr and they are doing hard work and truly getting underpaid.  But, Jersey Shore cast members are living the high life by getting paid to do something that they normally do anyway.  This world is truly fucked up.  So from now on, I shall not be watching any reality shows except for True Life.  I really do like that show because its more of a documentary.  People we really need to wake up and see that just by us watching a show we are promoting bullshit.  I know everyone is out there trying to make money and these shows can be entertaining, but the more reality shows there are, the more reality is not shown.
